Tramway village awards
Crich Tramway Village, home of the National Tramway Museum, has won two Heritage Awards.
The first award was for Oporto 273, the most recent tram to be restored in its collection.
The tram was awarded joint winner in the Heritage Railway Association Carriage & Wagon Competitions. Oporto 273 was restored over a three-year period with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Crich also received a Highly Commended award for the quality of its Heritage Interpretation in the interactive workshop-viewing gallery. Details: www.tramway.co.uk
