Tranmere Rovers submits training centre plans
Tranmere Rovers Football Club (TRFC) has revealed that it has submitted two sets of plans for the development of a new training centre and the redevelopment of its current facility.
The first planning application lodged with Wirral Council will see 90 new homes developed on the site of the npower League One club's existing venue in the Ingleborough Road area. Meanwhile, the second set of proposals involve the construction of new training facilities at Woodchurch Leisure Centre and will include a refurbishment of the leisure centre itself.
HOW Planning and architects Paddock Johnson Partnership are working with the club on the proposals, which aim to provide enhanced facilities for both TRFC and the community. Paddock Johnson Partnership's Mike Paddock said: "The redevelopment of the training ground for residential development will allow capital investment into Tranmere Rovers and will provide replacement facilities of a much higher standard."
