Travelling Showmen news
After recently attending a round table meeting with Safework SA and the Royal Adelaide Show Society in Adelaide, we are pleased to advise the industry that the TWIN FLIP ride has been handed back to its owners.
The ride still has a prohibition notice in place until a number of repairs and alterations are completed and a further inspection undertaken and clearance issued by Safework SA.
The industry is pleased to see the ride returned to its owners, however, we are still convinced in this situation that the seizure and 10 week inspection period was not an overkill.
Perhaps we will all be able to gain some valuable lessons from this incident in the future handling of any ride incidents at any of the shows or festivals.
We would like to thank the Royal Adelaide Show Society's team for their valued support and insight in achieving a satisfactory outcome in this instance and their investment in the future of the amusement industry.
Meanwhile, a number of the regional shows across South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales seem to be draught effected, with disappointing attendances and sales.
