Travelodge acquires Tunbridge Wells site
Budget hotel operator Travelodge has acquired a 71-room property in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The New Wellington Hotel will now undergo a £2m refurbishment programme and is scheduled to reopen as a Travelodge in the summer of 2008.
The deal is part of the hotel chain’s expansion plans in the east of England, where it is aiming to increase its room count by 2,000 by the end of 2020.
