Travelodge launches Prius fleet to market new hotels
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has branded a fleet of cars to promote its new hotel openings.
The company, which plans to open a further 20 hotels in city and airport locations – including Manchester and London City Airports, Preston, Dundee, Norwich and Nottingham – before the end of the year, has replaced its year-old fleet of Smart Cars with the eco-friendly hybrid Toyota Prius.
“We are a budget operator and constantly working at opportunities to promote our brand messages in low-cost ways,” said Travelodge sales and marketing director, Guy Parsons.
“The new hybrid car gives us the opportunity to go the extra mile to deliver targeted messages throughout the UK at low cost.”
The new cars will be driven by Travelodge hotel managers throughout the country to promote the hotel opening in their area.
In between openings, the cars will be used in central London to promote the brand as a whole.
