Trump announces development team
Donald Trump, the US tycoon, has announced who will be developing his £1bn golf project in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
A group of local businesses and consultants will join the British golf course architects firm, Hawtree, including Acanthus DF (clubhouse architects), Gareth Hoskins Architects (master plan consultants) and WA Fairhust & Partners (civil and structural engineers).
The team will be managed by Neil Hobday, who is the appointed the project director at Trump International Golf Links, Scotland.
Donald Trump said: “We are working through the planning process and as soon as we receive our detailed planning approval, the golf course construction can begin.”
The Trump Organisation also announced the beginning of refurbishment works of the 14th century Menie House and Menie Park Lodge, located on the site of the golf course.
Menie House will become the Trump family residence in Scotland, while the Menie Park Lodge, which currently houses the site offices for the golf course, will be used to house executive suites for the development.
