Trump casino planned for Mississippi
Trump Entertainment Resorts and Diamondhead Casino Corporation have signed a letter of intent to form a join venture to build and operate a casino resort and hotel in Diamondhead, Mississippi.
The planned site is a 404-acre tract of land owned by Mississippi Gaming Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Diamondhead.
James Perry, president and CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts, said: “As we renovate and rebrand our Atlantic City properties, we are also focused on our corporate development initiative and expanding the Trump brand into new markets.
“We are excited about the prospect of bringing the Trump brand to the Gulf Coast and we hope to join private and public entities in redeveloping the region.”
The cost and construction schedule have not been established as yet and the venture is subject to regulatory clearance and other approvals and permits. Details: www.trumpcasinos.com
