Trust subsidiary to operate new Derby pool
A subsidiary of Lonsdale Swimming and Sports Trust has been selected by Derby City Council (DCC) to manage the new £1m Gayton Swimming Pool.
Gayton Pool Ltd will operate the venue following its opening in January, with facilities to include a 7.5m x 17.25m pool that will be used for school and public lessons and exercise classes. DCC cabinet member for leisure and culture Alan Grimadell said: "This is a fantastic new facility for people of Littleover and Derby to enjoy and will provide a welcome opportunity to swim for young and old alike."
Lonsdale Swimming and Sports Trust already operates the Lonsdale pool in Mickleover.
