Trust takes over Yeovil leisure centre
LED, the non-profit trust formerly known as Leisure East Devon, has officially taken over the operation of Yeovil's Goldenstones Leisure Centre from the local authority.
South Somerset District Council said the move would save local taxpayers more than £2m over the course of a ten-year deal with the trust, which was selected after a tender process. The facility includes a 25m swimming pool and a 12.5m teaching pool, as well as a fitness suite, an exercise studio and a sauna and steamroom.
