Turkey’s Mardan Palace hotel to open in February
Great Hotels of the World, part of the London-based travel and technology company Big Worldwide, is to open a new hotel in Turkey in February.
The 560-room Mardan Palace in Antalya, which is located 10km from Antalya International Airport, has views of Lara Beach and the Taurus Mountains.
The hotel boasts a 16,000sq m (172,224sq ft) outdoor pool– one of the largest in the world – which will be surrounded by a “water street” with gondola service, a swim reef that allows guest to snorkel among local fish, four aquariums and a shark tank.
Other amenities include a spa and fitness centre, two tennis courts, a bowling alley, a volleyball court, a squash court, a nightclub, an amphitheatre, 11 restaurants, 10 bars and a shopping arcade.
The 7,500sq m (80,730sq ft) spa and fitness centre, designed by KLAFS, offers services including steam and mud baths, saunas and showers, a Thalasso pool and treatments, an indoor pool with relaxation area, a private hammam and a mediation room. The spa also feature a “snow paradise, where guests can enjoy the stimulating atmosphere of real snow”.
The hotel’s Convention Centre has three foyers, two ballrooms with a capacity of up to 1,200 delegates, 17 meeting rooms, a cinema and a business centre.
