Two options emerge from Uttoxeter Leisure Centre consultation
East Staffordshire Borough Council (ESBC) has revealed that two preferred options for the future of Uttoxeter Leisure Centre have emerged following a consultation earlier this year.
The council's cabinet will consider a recommendation to dismiss the option of a new facility on land to the south of the current building, leaving two favoured locations for the project.
A redevelopment of the existing site or a new centre at Dove fields are the two most popular options identified in the consultation, with the latter chosen by 39.3 per cent of respondents.
ESBC deputy leader for service commissioning Bernard Peters said: "We have consulted with the people of Uttoxeter and surrounding areas and two clear preferences have emerged."
