UK spas named among 2012 World Luxury Spa Award winners

York's Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa and The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA in Scotland have been named as the UK-based winners at the 2012 World Luxury Spa Awards.
Spa at The Grand, which offers a number of therapeutic face and body care treatments, held off The Dorchester Spa in London to be crowned the UK's Best Luxury Hotel Spa.
Meanwhile, The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA picked up the UK's Best Luxury Resort Spa title, ahead of Hampshire Spa at Champneys Forest Mere, Hampshire.
Marinique de Wet, executive manager of the World Luxury Spa Awards said: "The level of competition in 2012 where exceptional evident from the calibre of spas that were nominated by clients."
Winners and finalists were selected through a online voting process involving thousands of spa guests worldwide. Registrations for next year's awards have now opened.
