US$240m worth of attractions contracts signed at Middle East expo
More than US$240m (€172.5m, £141.4m) worth of deals were signed at the Dubai Entertainment, Amusement & Leisure (DEAL) 2014 trade show – signalling a “renewed zest” in the Middle East theme parks and amusement industry.
Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman of show organisers International Expo Consults, said that the region was sure to see additional “state-of-the-art family entertainment centres” as a result of the products showcased at the show.
More than 300 companies exhibited at the event from 33 countries, while over 7,000 trade visitors attended. The show aims to serve as the Middle East’s “gateway” for all parties with an interest in the region’s amusement and entertainment industry.
DEAL 2015 will be held in April 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
