Unique Collection to manage Kamalaya
The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts is to take over the management of the Kamalaya wellness sanctuary and holistic spa on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
The Kamalaya resort opened in December 2005 and is centred around a cave temple that once served Buddhist monks.
The spa facilities include a number of treatment rooms, a herbal steam chamber, a sauna and plunge pools as well as a fitness suite and a yoga pavilion.
Treatments at the spa include therapeutic abdominal massage, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu, T’ui na acupressure, Swedish massages and reflexology.
The health and fitness suite offers guests a personalised fitness programme including pilates, qi qong, tai chi and meditation classes.
Accommodation at the resort, which is situated on 10 acres of beachfront property, consists of 60 villas and bungalows.
The Unique Collection was launched in November 2005 by Peter Kaelli and boasts a portfolio of small boutique properties in Thailand. Details: www.theuniquecollection.com
