Universal to launch 3D Transformers attraction
Universal Studios Singapore will be the home to the first ever theme park attraction based on the Transformers brand.
Transformers - The Ride will open to the public on 3 December and will use similar technologies to Universal's celebrated Spider-Man ride - mixing an onride-experience with 3D high-definition video, animatronics and interactivity.
The attraction will feature 12 scenes, guests are tasked to help the Autobots protect a remaining shard of the Allspark - a powerful energy cube that gives life to the Transformers.
The ride has been designed by Universal's in-house ride team, Universal Creative, in partnership with play company Hasbro which owns the Transformers brand.
Universal Studios Singapore is part of the Resorts World Sentosa, which spans 49 hectares and has welcomed 15 million visitors since its opening in January 2010.
