Upgrade planned for Afan Forest Park centre
Neath Port Talbot Council (NPTC) is planning to carry out a major overhaul of Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre in a bid to maximise the facility's potential and attract more tourists.
Subject to planning permission, it is hoped that construction work will start in December and be completed by spring next year. Proposals include a transformed café area.
NPTC is also planning to revamp the foyer to provide better access to South Wales Miners' Museum and to add a new meeting room to the building.
The work forms part of 'Cognation mtb trails South Wales', an new partnership between the council; Caerphilly and Merthyr Tydfil councils; and Forestry Commission Wales.
