Upgraded tennis facilities unveiled in Swansea
Three new artificial courts and three additional courts that have been refurbished have been unveiled at Swansea Lawn Tennis and Squash Club in South Wales.
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has provided the venue with a £74,000 to carry out an upgrade of the facilities, which aims to "cope much better" with the region's rain pattern. Funding has also been provided as part of British Tennis' facilities strategy, which seeks to increase opportunities for more people to participate in the sport across the UK.
Lord mayor of Swansea Paul Thorburn said: "This courts upgrade further strengthens its attraction to all tennis players from eight to 80 years and on."
