GL-14 - The Health Club is the latest luxury fitness centre to open in Manchester.

The 14,000sq ft facility, situated in a listed cotton factory in the heart of the city centre, is the first in the area to offer an in-house practice Golf Zone, which includes an indoor putting green, golf simulator and video swing analysis.'The Golf Zone makes us extremely popular with corporate members who often come and practice during their lunch hour,' says general manager, Georgina Livesey.

Other facilities at the club include a gym equipped by Technogym, a studio offering a range of classes from New York City Ballet to jazz dance, a Star Trac spinning studio and a deli/champagne bar.GL-14 has been specifically developed to help members improve their lifestyles and offers workshops with psychologists to raise awareness of nutrition and fitness issues.

The spa area has two Moroccan-themed treatment rooms offering a range of services including Ayurvedia Hot Stone therapy and holistic stress busters and detoxifyers. The club is part of the PJ Livesey Group. The property developer plans to roll out the concept and open a chain throughout the UK, all in listed or historically significant buildings.
