Uttoxeter leisure centre consultation starts
East Staffordshire Borough Council (ESBC) has started a public consultation into options for the future of a Uttoxeter leisure centre, which could result in a new facility being built.
The development of a new building on the site of the town's existing leisure centre and the partial redevelopment of the current venue are also among three preferred council options.
A further 13 sites considered for a new centre will also be put to residents as part of the consultation, with a previous process showing marginal support in favour of a new-build.
ESBC deputy leader for service commissioning Bernard Peters said: "The proposals have to be right both for the Council and for residents and people who regularly use the centre.
"I would encourage as many people as possible let us know what they think of the options we have laid out and what they want from their leisure facilities."
