VAC2004 to launch with royal reception
HRH Prince Michael of Kent is to preside over a reception at the National Portrait Gallery on 11 October, the evening before the First National Conference of Visitor Attractions (VAC2004).
The reception will also give guests the opportunity to see the National Portrait Gallery’s exhibition of Fame and Beauty in Victorian Society, which is due to open a few days later.
VAC2004, taking place at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on 12 October will include speakers such as culture secretary, Tessa Jowell; BALPPA chief executive, Colin Dawson; Merlin Entertainments chief executive, Nick Varney and Richard Tibbott, chair of Locum Destination Consulting.
An afternoon debate tackling questions posed by delegates will boast panellists including Viscountess Cobham, Sir Neil Cossons and Loyd Grossman. Details: www.vac2004.co.uk
