Vale of Neath Leisure Centre's £300,000 revamp completed
Vale of Neath Leisure Centre in Neath Port Talbot near Swansea has undergone a £300,000 redevelopment.
Funded by Alliance Leisure, the project included a new 130sq m (1,399sq ft) fitness suite boasting 27-stations of Physique's remanufactured Life Fitness equipment. The existing 75sq m (807sq ft)16-station gym has been refurbished into a free weights room. The construction work, carried out by design and build contractor Createability, also resulted in a new 130sq m (1,399sq ft) multi-purpose room. Both of the new facilities were constructed within the existing sports hall.
Celtic Community Leisure operates the centre. Duncan Kerr, managing director of Celtic Community Leisure, said: "The new facilities have been developed to increase our capacity and therefore our income, from exactly the same space."
