Victorian Society launches new UK appeal
A new campaign to identify the ten Victorian or Edwardian properties that are considered to be "most at risk" across the UK has been unveiled by the Victorian Society.
The campaign aims to highlight issues facing some of the country's most historic buildings and aims to encourage historians, enthusiasts and local campaigners to nominate entries. Victorian Society director Ian Dungavell said: "At the moment wide-ranging council cuts mean certain building types are under threat as never before.
"We've been told about some of the libraries, town halls or swimming pools now facing an uncertain future but there will be many more and we would like to hear about them." The deadline for submissions is 17 July.
