Virgin offers double beds
Virgin Atlantic has announced it is to offer double beds and life coaching in the Upper Class suites aboard its aircraft.
The airline has fitted four pairs of double suites on two of its aircraft, which remain separate seats until the passengers wish to go to sleep, when a partition can be removed to transfer it into a double sleeping space.
The seats do not just extend and flatten, but flip over to reveal a separate bed with mattress beneath.
The airline’s chair, Sir Richard Branson, said it was one of his long held ambitions to have doubled beds on the company’s aircraft.
Virgin Atlantic has also reached an agreement with Fiona Harrold Consultancy to offer Upper Class passengers life coaching at its Heathrow Clubhouse.
The complimentary sessions will last for 30 minutes before the passenger’s flight. Details: www.virgin.com/atlantic
