Virtuagym announces raft of new tech tie-ups
Health and fitness software provider Virtuagym has unveiled several new partnerships as the Dutch-based firm seeks to boost its offering for gym operators, PTs and members.
Having recently secured €2.1m (US$2.3m, £1.5m) in funding from Belgium-based Saffelberg Investments to fuel international growth, Virtuagym is seeking to strengthen its products through symbiotic collaborations.
As such, the firm has partnered with Amsterdam-based tech startup NEO Health, which is introducing both a new body composition monitor and activity tracking device. The tie-up sees Virtuagym providing software integration and marketing support for NEO Health products, which will automatically sync with the Virtuagym platform.
“What we love about NEO Health is that thanks to this partnership, we can directly integrate with their devices,” said Hugo Braam, CEO of Virtuagym.
“In fact, all other providers of these types of sensors also have their own software system, with their own user accounts that people need to register for. That isn’t very user-friendly. The integration with Virtuagym is a seamless experience and makes additional registration unnecessary.”
Meanwhile, Virtuagym has also announced a new integration tie-up with fitness software firm MYE Entertainment. The deal sees the integration of MYE AppAudio, WorkoutScan and CardioCare options into Virtuagym’s club mobile app and online platforms.
“The integrations with MYE options provide our clients with the latest entertainment, workout tracking and machine service technology,” added Braam. “The integration of the MYE options in Virtuagym provides a great user experience to club members.”
