VisitBritain promotes tourism at Arabian Travel Market 2006
Eighteen British travel and tourism partners, including VisitBritain, Visit Scotland, Visit London and Blackpool Tourism, are attending the Arabian Travel Market 2006 in Dubai to promote Britain to the Middle East in preparation for the summer holiday season.
VisitBritain said it intended to launch “some new segment driven campaigns and marketing initiatives including health and spa, family fun, shopping, food and drink and Muslim cultures” at the event, which started yesterday and ends on 5 May.
Last year, 411,000 tourists came to Britain from the Middle East and spent £651m. Details: www.visitbritain.com
