Visitor attraction planned for Brierley Hill
Plans for a major new leisure destination featuring one of Europe's highest indoor ropes courses have been unveiled at Westfield Merry Hill in Brierly Hill, West Midlands.
The urban-themed Quest attraction, which will start a phased opening in November, is part of a £1m investment by Paragon Entertainment and features five new attractions including aerial rope courses, and a themed indoor adventure golf course.
Occupying a total area in excess of 20,000sq ft, Quest will include a café as well as an outdoor area which will host a changing programme of family-based leisure activities.
In the run up to Christmas, the outdoor space will feature Quest for Christmas including an ice rink along with a Christmas market and festive entertainment.
Mark Pyrah, CEO of Paragon Entertainment, commented: "We're delighted to have not only secured our first site but to have been able to agree a site large enough to support a number of unique attractions, creating a comprehensive leisure destination.
Merry Hill Shopping Centre, is the largest retail development in the West Midlands, and is owned by Westfield, one of the largest global shopping centre owner and developers. The centre currently has over 250 retail units and services a trade area of 1.6 million people.
