Water park plans for Springfield
Ipswich City Council in Queensland, Australia, has reportedly applied for funding from the Federal Government to build a water park and lagoon at the new AUD$20m Springfield Central Parklands, due for completion in 2010.
The plans for the 24-hectare park, which will boast walkways, cycle routes, a piazza and barbecue areas, also include spending AUD$1.2m on lighting to ensure the park can be used 24 hours a day.
