Waterpark plans for Split Rock Resort
Vacation Charters has unveiled plans to open a 48,000sq ft (4,500sq m) waterpark at its Split Rock Resort at Lake Harmony on the western edge of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, US.
The company has chosen Aquatic Development Group to build the waterpark, which will include a family raft ride, two water slides, a wave pool and a multi-level play structure.
It will also feature a surf system allowing boogie boarding and stand up surfing.
The park is scheduled to open in 2006-7.
The Split Rock Resort already boasts a video game arcade, bowling alley, cinema, fitness centre and tennis and basketball courts.
