Wavelengths Leisure Centre launches after major revamp
The first phase of an extensive redevelopment at Wavelengths Leisure Centre has been unveiled.
The revamp, which was undertaken by Fusion Lifestyle in partnership with Lewisham Council, includes a 80-station gym with cardio and resistance equipment and an exercise studio for fitness classes.
An indoor cycle studio and café are due to open in the coming weeks, with all phases expected to be complete by March 2013.
The final stages of the redevelopment will involve the unveiling of a new health suite with a sauna and steamroom as will as improvements to the swimming pool and an additional group exercise studio.
Tim Mills, Fusion's Business Development Director, said: "This work represents a commitment to redevelop the centre to ensure it caters for the increasing demands of our customers.
"We have been planning this project for some time and are delighted to have the first phase completed. The investment we are making at Wavelengths demonstrates our passion for providing modern leisure facilities for Lewisham residents."
