Welcome UK Conference
The third annual Welcome UK conference will this year take place on Thursday, 22 May 2008 at Marriott Hotel in Liverpool City Centre and is run in partnership with the Institute of Hospitality and The HE HLST Network.
The Rt Hon Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for Culture, Creative Industries and Tourism, DCMS will be delivering the key note speech at the event, which centres around improving tourism and hospitality skills within the industry.
The conference will look at how together the skills sector, employers and tourist boards can deliver the Government’s priorities and support regional and national competitiveness.
Leading speakers will demonstrate how to ensure employees in the sector are equipped to give tourists a welcome experience, ensuring the visitor economy has a sustainable future.
