Wellness centre launches at Le Mauricia
A new wellness centre has opened within Beachcomber Hotels’ Le Mauricia property in Mauritius, completing the final phase of the hotel’s extensive refurbishment programme.
Located within the hotel’s tropical gardens, the exterior design concept for the wellness centre uses a combination of Mediterranean and Moroccan themes.
The treatment rooms are intended to evoke a tent effect and have been designed with high, vaulted ceilings and grey walls with black stone and wooden floors. The rooms are centred around a symmetrical reflection pool.
There are 10 treatment rooms in total – eight singles, one double room and another room for use with shirodhara therapies.
A range of traditional and ayurvedic treatments are offered, using products from Israeli-based company Mineral Care as well as indigenous massage and essential oils.
There is also a new sports centre adjoining Le Mauricia’s wellness centre, featuring a cardio room, hammam, sauna and three tennis courts. Le Mauricia is one of eight hotels owned and operated by Beachcomber in Mauritius. Details: beachcomber-hotels.com
