Wellness resort for Nanxun
US-based real estate investment company OZ Holdings and the Six Senses Resorts & Spas group have signed a long-term agreement for a luxury wellness resort in Nanxun, China.
Under the agreement, Six Senses will manage, operate and brand the development, which will include a Six Senses Latitude offering as well as a Six Senses Spa. The facilities will have strong modern and traditional Chinese medical and therapy components.
Managing partner of OZ Holdings, Ophir Sternberg, said: “We are pleased to join forces with Six Senses in this unique development in Nanxun, the first of its kind in China.”
The 20-acre property will also include 142 guest accommodations and 20 residential villas as well as watercraft for canal transportation within the complex.
Area masterplanning, project design and planning will all be undertaken by Graft Architects. OZ Holdings will develop the resort in partnership with the Hong Kong-based Clubtel Corporation and the Shanghai Profound Investment & Development Company.
The ancient water town of Nanxun is located about a one-hour drive from central Shanghai in the centre of the Yangtze Delta and is a proposed UNESCO world heritage site.
