Welsh tourism award winners announced
Some of Wales' leading tourism and hospitality operators have been recognised as part of the National Tourism Awards at the Vale Resort near Cardiff.
The Grove in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, secured the Best Place to Stay (large) award, while the Best Place to Stay (small) prize went to Ffynnon - a bed and breakfast in Dolgellau. Folly Farm, Pembrokeshire (Best Family Day Out); Afan Lodge, Port Talbot (Best New Business) and Cardiff Hilton (Best Team) were also among the award winners.
Welsh heritage minister Alun Ffred Jones said: "The awards evening demonstrates the importance of Wales' £4bn tourism industry to the Welsh economy and the quality of product that we have to offer our visitors." Wales' National Tourism Awards are organised by Visit Wales and the Welsh Tourism Alliance in commercial partnership with corporate communications group, Quadrant.
