West Park Leisure Centre £235,000 upgrade complete
The £235,000 refurbished West Park leisure centre in Long Eaton, Derbyshire will be officially opened on Friday.
The refurbishment, which started in December, was funded by Erewash Borough Council and has seen the centre double its gym size, equipped with 75 pieces of Technogym gym equipment.
The facility has seen a large-scale makeover including a new toilet and shower area, changing cubicles, replacement wall and floor tiles and a refurbishment of the sauna.
The centre's Cavendish and Harrington Suite has also been redecorated.
The new fitness suite offers three zoned areas - cardio, free weights and resistance equipment, with additional space for floor work and a dance studio and aerobics studio.
In addition, the leisure centre café has also been redesigned to become a multi-purpose space for meetings or training.
