Westin Hotels to invest USD37m in fitness rollout
Westin Hotels and Resorts will invest US$37m (€28m, £23m) in relaunching and rolling out its WestinWORKOUT gym concept.
A spokesperson for the hotel operator said the investment is in response to a comprehensive guest experience survey which revealed increased demand for a more well-rounded, holistic fitness experience - including more options for stretching, yoga and fitness classes.
The ambitious programme will see Westin introduce new fitness studios at all of its 186 hotels around the world. Those with existing gyms will receive a comprehensive redevelopment.
The new fitness studios will roll-out globally throughout 2012.
