Westin to open 14 hotels during 2010
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has unveiled plans to open 14 new Westin Hotels in 2010.
The openings will see new properties in China, Greece, Japan, India, Mexico, the United States, and Canada. 2010 openings include The Westin Wall Centre in Richmond, Vancouver, BC, Canada; The Westin Mumbai Garden City in India; The Westin Nanjing in Shanghai, China; The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino in Messinia, Greece; The Westin Austin at the Domain in Austin, Texas; and The Westin Sendai in Sendai, Japan.
This year will also see the debut of the Westin brand in Peru - with The Westin Libertador, Lima - and the opening of its first hotel in Mexico City and fifth in Mexico itself. Over the next three years, Westin is planning to open two further hotels in Mexico, plus its first in Panama.
