Whitbread poised to announce £30m disposal deal
In a further shake-up to its hospitality division, Whitbread is widely believed to have agreed to sell a portfolio of pubs and restaurants to a leisure entrepreneur for around £30m.
The pubs, believed to be eight Dragon Inns and 36 Beefeater and Brewers Fayre sites, were among 140 restaurants put on sale by Whitbread last May as part of a disposal of under-performing outlets.
Interim results are to be published on 30 October.
