White water leisure park proposed for Perth
A white water leisure park, hotel and conference centre including short-stay accommodation and commercial and residential areas is being planned for a 15-hectare site at Champion Lakes in Armadale, near Perth, Western Australia.
The proposed park will form the centrepiece of the existing Champion Lakes Aquatic Recreation Precinct – where a 2.2km, 55-hectare, international standard rowing course is currently under construction.
The recreation precinct will also include an Aboriginal Interpretive Centre and be surrounded by conservation and wildlife habitat areas.
Property group Colliers International is currently seeking expressions of interest in developing the project.
Champion Lakes is the signature project of the Armadale Redevelopment Authority (ARA).
