WhiteWater completes SilkGel resurfacing at Nessies Revenge, US
Nessie's Revenge at the West Edmonton Mall's World Waterpark in Canada has had a complete makeover with WhiteWater's new technological innovation, SilkGel.
The technology is designed to offer gloss and colour retention and be an eco-friendly, low maintenance product, on which WhiteWater offers a five-year resurfacing warranty against fading and chalking.
SilkGel was awarded the Best New Technology Award at IAAPA and was created at WhiteWater's manufacturing facilities in British Columbia, Canada in response to legislated reduction in the use of styrenes, which prevented fading in fibreglass.
The innovation in high-performance fibreglass coatings offers UV resistance and consistent gloss. SilkGel application is intended to increase the lifespan of a slide and allow resurfacing with new colours.
SilkGel is now standard for new WhiteWater waterslides and new installations come with a 10-year warranty against fading and chalking.
