Whitewater West in the UAE
Whitewater West is supplying several waterslides for the Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai.
The resort, which is owned by Kerzner International, will include four master blasters, a Mayan-themed multi-level aquaplay structure, three high speed thrill slides and a Mayan temple ride, which will take riders down a 27.5m, near-vertical drop via an acrylic waterslide through a shark filled lagoon.
The 17 hectare, water-based attraction opens in September 2008.
The company is also installing a Giant Rainforest AquaPlay structure in Vivaldi Ocean World in Hongchun, South Korea.
Owned by Daemyung Leisure Industries - the largest resort operator in Korea - the waterpark has an Egyptian theme and the new rides are part of its four-year expansion.
