Wildwood Trust enters final year of Skills for Future Training programme
Wildwood Trust - a charity that runs a programme of conservation projects - is inviting new applications for its final year of the Skills for the Future Training programme.
The project, which has been running four years, is supported by a £150,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The grant funds four trainees a year, with each receiving a bursary of £10,000 for the year of training with Wildwood.
On completion of the scheme, Wildwood will have provided training for 12 people – three trainee rangers, keepers and conservation specialists, as well as three trainee education officers.
The posts are for one year and are aimed at those interested in following a career in conservation, giving them the experience to be able to gain further academic qualifications or continuing to develop their career by joining a zoo, wildlife trust or other conservation organisation.
