Wind of change for RSPB
A small-scale wind turbine has been installed at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds' (RSPB) Rainham Marshes visitor centre in Purfleet, Essex.
Supplied by Proven Energy, the 15kW wind turbine has been put in place in a bid to reduce the site's carbon footprint.
The turbine is to work in conjunction with the site's existing solar technology, and it is hoped that the two technologies will provide enough energy to power the entire 5m/s centre.
