Work begins on Erewash strategy
Erewash Borough Council has began work on a strategic plan for its leisure and culture services.
The council hopes the plan will help it develop a long-term strategy for future investment in the council’s sport, leisure, arts and heritage provision.
It has commissioned Strategic Leisure to survey regular users of the council’s facilities in an effort to map the habits and needs of local residents.
The council recently reopened the Victoria Park Leisure Centre after completing a five-month revamp, which was forced by the finding of asbestos on the site in January 2007.
