Work has been completed on an £800,000 scheme to create a new dual-use leisure centre at Preston School in Yeovil, Somerset, which will be open to members of the local community.
Createability has worked with the school; development partner Alliance Leisure; leisure trust 1610; and Somerset County Council to provide a facility for people of all abilities.
A 143sq m (1,539sq ft) gym with 30 stations; a 70sq m (753sq ft) multi-use fitness studio; and a reception area form part of the centre, while the existing sports hall was refurbished.
Createability managing director Ian Cotgrave said: "This significant project demonstrates just what can be achieved when organisations work together to deliver leisure facilities.
"By developing its sports provision, Preston School has created a real asset for Yeovil, which will help inspire students and the local community to become more physically active and lead healthier lives."
