Work starts on new Mexico golf academy
Mexico-based resort and golf course operator Grupo Vidanta has commenced work on the new Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy at the Nayar Vidanta Golf Club in Nuevo Vallarta.
Due to open in spring 2012, the complex is designed to offer the "most complete" training and instruction venue in Mexico and will comprise climate-controlled training bays. Facilities will include the Jack Nicklaus Coaching Studio and Nicklaus Academies Analysis Software, as well as fitness technologies supplied by FreeMotion Fitness.
The second bay will boast K-Vest Movement Analysis Technology, while a teaching facility will offer a computerised putting lab to allow instructors to analyse putting technique. Additional facilities will comprise mental evaluation and training tools; a Nicklaus Academy putting green and chipping area; and a short game practice area.
