Work starts on play area for disabled children
Salford City Council (SCC) has announced that work is now underway on the creation of a new play area for children with disabilities.
Springwood Play Area - located on Barton Road in Swinton - will enable disabled children and their families to take advantage of an inclusive facility purpose-built for their needs. A roundabout and swings with wheelchair access are proposed, along with sensory features such as music, plants, herbs and textures.
The play area is due to open in May.
