Work underway on the 10th site for Fitness Worx Gyms
Fitness Worx Gyms has confirmed work is underway on its 10th site, which will open in Solihull, UK, this September.
The conversion of a 12,000-square-foot former office building will create the Midlands-based operator's biggest facility to date. Fitness Worx has been searching for a suitable site in Solihull for some time, following requests from members and local residents. The number of people registering interest ahead of the launch is the company’s strongest-ever response to a New opening.
The site will feature Nautilus and Gymleco strength equipment, Star Trac cardio machines, a dedicated Hyrox area, boxing zone, saunas, showers, squat racks, a powerlifting area and a glute zone, including Precor’s new selectorised Glutebuilder line.
“We’re really excited to introduce the glute zone, which adds another unique element to the overall gym offering,” head of operations, Matt Gibson, told HCM. “We’ve taken everything our members love about our current sites and brought it together in one flagship facility.
“Reaching 10 sites is a huge milestone for Fitness Worx, especially with this being the largest gym floor across the group so far. We’re excited to see how the project develops and what it can become.”
Further plans remain under wraps, but Gibson says there are several exciting projects in the pipeline, including expanding existing sites and securing new locations.
“The fitness industry continues to grow, and we’re growing with it,” he says.
