World Cup reprieve for Associate nations
Associate nations including Ireland and the Netherlands are set to receive a reprieve that will allow them to take part in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2015.
The ICC chief executives' committee has called for a qualification process to be introduced for the events, although it did not make a recommendation on the number of participants. Earlier this year, the ICC provoked controversy by confirming that only the 10 Full Member nations would be invited to take part; a move that has since been reconsidered.
