Leisure Trust, Wycombe Leisure, is continuing its expansion with the opening of its third site this year.

The trust, which has grown from three sites to 17 in just over a year, will manage the Sprinters Leisure Centre in Prestwood.

Costing just over £1m, 40 per cent of the funding came from Sport England after a team of local residents applied for lottery funding. Chiltern District Council co-funded the project.

Sprinters comprises a health and fitness studio – operated under the trust’s Lifestyles Health and Fitness Studio brand – which includes a gym equipped by the Nautilus Health & Fitness Group.

The centre also includes a cricket and football pitch, three tennis courts, an astroturf pitch and a café/bar.

Wycombe Trust is currently working with West Oxfordshire District Council on a gym and pool development in Carterton, due to open in October.
