Wyndham to open first hotel in Bahrain
Wyndham Hotel Group has signed an agreement with Corporate Investment House SPC to manage its first hotel in Bahrain.
Currently under development, the five star Wyndham Grand Manama will cover 14 floors of a 50-storey mixed use development in the capital city Manama's Bahrain Bay.
The hotel will comprise 260 guest rooms, 500 sq m (5,380 sq ft) of meeting space, five food and beverage outlets and a 900sq m (9,687sq ft) ballroom.
There will also be separate health clubs for men and women with indoor and outdoor infinity swimming pools.
Bahrain Bay Development B.S.C is a US$2.5bn (£1.54m, €1.9m) waterfront district designed around residential, commercial and retail spaces. Wyndham Grand Manama aims to accommodate business and leisure travellers, as it will face the World Trade Centre, which is near the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
Ahmed AlQaed, managing director, Cooperation Investment House SPC said: "By combining the Wyndham brand's authentic hospitality and high-quality service with modern corporate office spaces in one magnificent development at this prime location, we believe we are creating the best tourist and business destination this area will offer."
